What are you doing to stay positive in this current climate?

Just doing more things I love and things that make me happy such as baking, cooking, reading, playing A LOT of Animal Crossing on Nintendo Switch, watching Netflix and painting nails. Oh, and watching plenty of happy dog TikToks.

Is there a book you’ve read, or journal article that you find uplifting?
I'm currently reading Olivia Pott's Half Baked Idea. It's about food, grief and her career switch from barrister to Cordon Bleu-trained baker – the way she writes about the loss of her mother and food is so personal and beautiful. Not really a journal article, but Ruby Tandoh's serotonin-enhancing list of Good Food Things, which include simple, relatable, affordable food pleasures and if you haven't already I highly recommend also reading her book Eat Up, which is a bigger celebration of fun and pleasure in food.

Are you WFH, if so do you have any advice to stay focused?
Yep, WFH! I put my phone in my drawer, so I'm not easily distracted and have social media app blockers on my laptop to get me into the zone.

What is your WFH attire?
Oh god, I've been such a slob. It's mainly been a heavy rotation of Nike joggers, Gym Shark activewear, giant American Apparel hoodies and baggy Adidas/Fila jumpers.

Upbeat playlist recommendations?
For work – YouTube's lofi hip hop radio - beats to relax/study to -For fun – On heavy rotation atm Dua Lipa, Khruangbin, Babe Rainbow, Doja Cat, Rosalia, Harry Styles (according to my Spotify lol)

Meditation/exercise tips?
I've been doing Barry's Bootcamp Instagram live streams a couple of times a week and Chloe Ting's Youtube workouts.

Any recipes perfect for self-isolation?

The kitchen has been my sanctuary where I've been perfecting my sourdough bread and focaccia recipe – I swear by Samrin Nosrat's Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat Ligurian focaccia recipe! Going to try making Pippy Eats or Lillian Luk's Shanghai Supper Club spring onion pancake (cong you bing) recipe next.
