Introducing our latest collaboration with Hayley McCrirrick, a Scottish Borders-based artist working with textiles.

For our Scottish Cashmere Home collection, Hayley has designed the artwork for two luxurious cashmere blankets, inspired by the landscape surrounding her studio at the Haining, in Selkirk.

Inspired by traditional craft techniques, Hayley creates abstract landscapes that feel grounded in the Scottish environment yet transcend time and place.

Her bold colour work and graphic depiction of the mountains are contemporary works of art for the modern home.

Design Details

For the Valatzu Talla and Valatzu Sanna Bay throw blankets, every detail has been considered with the whipped edge stitch transitioning through the neutral colours as the elegant design changes to compliment the colours in Hayley's original artworks.

About the Artist - Hayley McCrirrick (She/Her)

Hayley McCrirrick is a Scottish artist working with textiles. She established her studio in 2018 and since then has shown work in London, Edinburgh and Paris, also completing various commercial and private commissions in the U.K and USA.

Using traditional craft techniques to inform and inspire her work on cloth and paper, Hayley seeks to create work which feels grounded to landscape and irrelevant to time.

"Growing up in Scotland and exploring its dramatic, yet quiet landscape has always been a great source of calm to me. I hope to translate this in my work and create pieces that feel intrinsically linked to this landscape and mediative in quality."
