Caring for your cashmere

Knitwear Care Guide

We would recommend hand washing your cashmere knitwear in lukewarm water using a cashmere shampoo, rinse several times in clean lukewarm water. Gently squeeze to remove excess water, then lay to dry on a flat surface. Iron on a cool setting, always using a damp cloth to protect the fibres from the irons direct heat. Alternatively, dry clean using a specialist cashmere dry cleaner. Do not bleach or mix colours when handwashing.

We recommend storing your knitwear flat/folded as over time, knitwear which has been hung will lose shape and stretch over time. If possible, store with cedar balls to avoid moths and replace yearly. As cashmere is a delicate, natural fibre, over time pills will appear on your sweater. It is best to remove these with a razor, de-bobbler or cashmere comb rather than pull off by hand as this can cause damage.

Scarf Care Guide (Arran, Nuance)

To maintain the finish of your scarf we would recommend gentle brushing in the direction of the fibre with a clothes brush to ensure minimal fibre disturbance. Only brush in the direction of the fibre. As all our products are made with natural fibres, over time, pilling may occur. The best treatment for this is to use a pilling comb to gently remove any fibre pills. All our products are recommended as dry clean only due to the delicate nature of the fibres. If necessary, spot clean with a clean, damp cloth and blot any excess moisture, but do not rub as this will cause fibre distortion. Finish by pressing with a cool iron over some tissue paper.

Lightweight Scarf Care Guide (Wispy, Staffa, Filigree)

Due to the delicate nature of these products, we recommend dry clean only. Do not machine wash. For small marks, spot clean with a clean, damp cloth and blot any excess moisture. Do not rub as this will cause fibre distortion. As all our products are made with natural fibres, over time, pilling may occur. The best treatment for this is to use a pilling comb to gently remove any fibre pills and finish by pressing with a cool, dry iron to re-shape.
