Begg x Co + LOVERBOY

Introducing our collaboration with Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY for the ART OF NOISE collection.

Inspired by the optical illusion artwork of artist Akiyoshi Kitaoka, the scarf and throw are particularly influenced by Kitaoka's famous ‘Rotating Snakes’ work from 2003. Jeffrey created his own take on 'Op Art' using symbols regularly featured on LOVERBOY collections; sun, moon, star and heart.

Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY

Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY is the fashion house founded by Glaswegian designer Charles Jeffrey. Its visual identity is steeped in Jeffrey’s autobiographical primary research, with collections anchored by Charles’ personal styling codes, as well as those of his friends and collaborators. The result is a potent clash of references both subcultural and traditional, Scottish and pagan, rooted in queer culture & interpreted through an illustrative & experimental approach to design.
