We are delighted to launch our latest collaboration blanket with COS. These blankets have been designed to help close the loop - each blanket features our latest digital ID technology to detail the journey of our products, as well as a lifetime buyback scheme to ensure each and every blanket has a life beyond its initial purpose
In our journey towards a more sustainable future, we’re delighted to collaborate with COS on this shared step in our efforts to close the loop in the fashion system
We have collaborated with COS to create two blanket designs, woven from a blend of superfine cashmere and lambswool. The capsule collection incorporates heritage and traditional craftsmanship, while embracing modernity and a contemporary aesthetic.
The blankets are available to buy online at COS.com and in selected COS stores for a limited time only.
Begg x Co + COS Collaboration
Available in two contemporary colourways, neutral brown hues and a vibrant blue, featuring an exclusive check design, the palette represents our Ayrshire mill by the Scottish sea.
This product is embedded with a unique Digital ID powered by technology company, EON. Digital IDs store and record each item's history – telling its story from manufacture through customer use, resale, reuse and recycling. You can scan the embedded QR code on your blanket at any time to access information about its craftsmanship, design and sustainability.
Buy-back Initiative Circularity
Championing a circular economy, the collaboration offers a buy-back initiative to ensure each blanket has a life beyond its initial use. In exchange for store credit, blankets returned to our Burlington Arcade store will either be refreshed and resold or recycled into a new yarn.
The Product Takeback Scheme will incentivise a responsible end-of-life program for products which are no longer used or wanted. These in turn will be recycled and provided a more environmentally friendly alternative to landfill.

Ethically Sourced Fibres
The manufacture of products using natural fibres means that animal welfare is a major concern to us. Our sustainability team make regular visits to Mongolia and China to allow us to feel confident with the high standards of animal husbandry and to certify that cashmere and wools are sourced ethically and without meeting harmful chemicals. We actively collaborate with external partners to ensure due diligence on all fronts. To this end, all of our wools are sourced subject to a stringent non-mulesing policy, solely purchasing wools from farms certified to have ceased all mulesing activity.

Since the 1860s, Begg × Co’s woven and knitted accessories, ready-to-wear and homeware have been shaped by the rugged coastline surrounding our mills in Ayr on the west coast of Scotland, and Hawick, ‘The Home of Cashmere,’ on the Scottish border. With looms as longstanding as 100 years, our unique approach involves fusing age-old processes with cutting-edge technology to produce products of the highest quality.
