Indulgent Festive Treats - Lotti's Favourites from Begg x Co

This year’s festive season is shaping up to be very different. Whether it’s the approaching ‘digitalisation’ of Christmas gatherings, or the lack of Yule Tide events in the lead up, it’s safe to say that this year might leave a lot to be desired. But all is not lost and while celebrations may take shape differently this time around, that doesn’t mean that we can’t still be a little indulgent – surely we deserve it?

Comfortable and classic cosiness is at the forefront of much of what I’m gifting this year, as well as supporting artisanal Scottish business. It’s safe to say, BeggxCo rolls all these into one, so I wanted to share some of my favourite finds from their Winter collections to bring a little inspiration to your gift hunt this year.

The Hat & Scarf Combination

After the year we’ve had predictability is important and nothing quite says “Christmas staple”, like the trusty hat and scarf combination. No one does a scarf quite like BeggxCo, offering a mixture of thick, sumptuous weaves to lighter summer-esque drapes. However, my favourite, especially for the autumn months, is their Arran Plain Cashmere Scarf, in Vicuna. It’s simple, classic style at its best and looks great over the top of a belted wool coat. 

For way more drama, I also highly recommend the Nuance Ombre Marbled Midnight Cashmere Stole – it’s a must!

Just because we’re going for firm favourites this year, doesn’t mean we can’t experiment a little. Hats and scarfs, in my opinion, shouldn’t match and it’s always fun to finish an outfit with a little bit of flare, especially during winter. This is why I love Begg x Co’s beanie hats, especially in Red Deer – they’re fun, experimental and most importantly evergreen in style.

Home Comforts

I don’t know about you, but I have a feeling we’re going to be spending a lot of time at home this Christmas and what better way to do so than snuggled under one of Begg x Co’s throws? I’m particularly fond of their Jura throw in silver, however the design comes in twenty-five different colours, which gives you plenty of scope for gifting the perfect present to someone who might need that extra bit of care this season.

The Classic Knit

I was overjoyed when I learnt of Begg x Co’s debut knitwear collection. I am a huge fan of classic knits, with a wardrobe full of rollnecks and crewneck cashmeres. Combine classic cuts with elegant, timeless colour and I can’t think of anything that is as nice as Begg x Co’s Classic Rollnecks, which are not only unisex but also available a contrast of colours from black and grey right through to Pale Pink and Yellow. Nothing speaks to me quite like French Lilac… What do you think?

While I could easily recommend every single piece in Begg x Co’s collections, there are pieces that I naturally gravitate towards and during a time of such uncertainty, it’s nice to pull back to what you know will bring joy to your loved ones at Christmas. Whether those loved ones are family, friends or even yourself, nothing says artisanal luxury at Christmas, like cashmere.
