"I’m a former model turned accountant from Glasgow. I’m based in Edinburgh and started my fashion blog in August 2019 focusing primarily on corporate/office wear. I’ve always believed that you don’t need to lose your sense of style when you work in an office. In the past six months my blog has evolved to focus more on independent and Black-owned brands. The aim of my blog is to highlight many of the brilliant brands that deserve to be supported and successful. I’ve worked with some amazing smaller brands, I guess I'm a content creator and accidental influencer."

 

 

I’ve learned that I miss the rhythm of a routine and structure during my working day. This has surprised me as I previously thought that these things could be slightly mundane and constraining.

 

 

 

 

I have been doing a lot of sewing this year. Early in lockdown I made a lot of face masks for family and friends. This was a great way to focus my mind and use up lots of the amazing print fabrics I had been hoarding. I’ve also had plenty of time to focus on my blog and instagram. I’ve had the pleasure of working with many small independent brands to create content that helps showcase their incredible products. 

 

 

 

 

Comfort is key! On the top half, I like to layer as I’m usually cold - thermal vest, t-shirt, cashmere jumper. To add a point of interest I sometimes like to add a colourful neckerchief. On the bottom, I swear by my fleece lined tracksuit bottoms. They’re comfortable and keep me warm. Finish with chunky socks and Birkenstock London shoes. My must-have accessory is my hot water bottle.

 

 

 

 

I try and stretch every morning. It’s a great way to ease into the day and helps kick-start your system on cold winter mornings. Whenever possible I like to do a combination of spin and barre classes at my local studio. They’re a great stress reliever and I appreciate the discipline and structure of a class.
