Calling All Paisley Punks

‘I first started occasionally DJing while studying at The Glasgow School of Art and have progressed from playing CDs and records to exclusively vinyl in more recent years. It’s a real passion project for me, having ran club nights in Glasgow’s Bloc+ and Nice ’N’ Sleazy for a number of years now, where I’ve played a mix of 1950s and 60s R&B alongside rock & roll and garage punk. Over the last two years I’ve been honoured to DJ in Europe and the USA which has really helped me to shape my record collection into a sound that I feel represents all aspects of my personality and interests - a little bit of sophistication with emotive energy but, above all, raw, visceral and primitive. There is nothing quite like having a hobby that helps me share such a range of emotions with those who listen to my sets and because of this, I’m truly excited to bring together a set of punk classics and hard to find records on behalf of Begg x Co. for you all to dance to, sing along and enjoy!

You can listen to more of my mixes by going to and on the last Friday of every month I host my own radio show, ‘Anna G’s House Party’ through Radiocore, with each episode featuring me interviewing some of my favourite Glasgow DJs while we play some records.’
